Jamaica lawyer gives me 6 for a 9, no case filed

DEAR LEGAL WIZ,
I paid a lawyer last month to handle a case for me. After several weeks of promises, I demanded to see the paperwork. I still havent received a thing, and the Court says they have nothing filed for the date the attorney gave to me.
I need help.

Dear Pedro,
Thanks for writing in. If you have a complaint about an attorney, and need action it is done at the General Legal Council. Make sure you can prove the contract you had. That entity will contact the attorney for an explanation, and if necessary carry you through steps to have a hearing and if guilty the lawyer can be disbarred or punished otherwise.
